Special Education
At Urban, we believe every student deserves an education that supports their whole self — helping them grow academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Our goal is to build each child’s confidence, self-awareness, and ability to make positive, thoughtful choices.
We know that students thrive when home, school, and community work together. That’s why we value input from families and community members when planning each student’s educational program. We offer a variety of supports and placements to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of our students.
Through lessons that foster independence, responsibility, life skills, and career readiness, we aim to help every student become a capable, confident, and contributing member of society. This growth begins with early identification, continues through consistent support, and is strengthened by meaningful academic and social experiences.
SASD proudly provides special education services to students with all types of disabilities. To learn more about specific areas of support, please visit: https://dpi.wi.gov/sped/topics
